Those Christmas lights, keep shinin’ on.

Last December, I remember myself waiting impatiently for the release of Christmas Lights while feeling stoned tired from the day’s activity. Watching the quick tease on repeat, commenting umpteen times as well as conversing with several fellow Coldplay fans. The commentary page was filled with a splatter of comments, “20 MORE HOURS TO GO!!!”, “EXCITED!!!”, “ARE THEY GONNA RELEASE A FIFTH ALBUM TOO!?!” and so on. All these sparked my excitement and brought me to a state of euphoria, I had never imagined to be in, for merely a new single. I was literally walking there and back, with a constant delightful attitude, my mouth just had to form a shape of a “smile” to fit in. In short, it was a great time for a happy dance.

I apologize for the above rambling. It’s hard to contain my excitement. And if I had the chance to speak to Chris Martin, you’re the soundtrack of my life and if you could, please play the piano in the pauses. Everything gets infinitely better with the voice of Chris, the melodic sounds of the bass from Guy, the stylistic and chiming sounds of the guitar from Jonny and the harmonic sounds of the drums from Will.

After a week of thinking during those lonely nights at home and trying to sort myself out, I guess I can only come to one conclusion that I’m certainly one messed up, dysfunctional teenager. I guess perhaps, I’m not in love. I just want to be loved, because it hurts badly to be so lonely, in this dark dark world.

I’m starting to dislike this space.

And, I don’t know why.

Another rainy day to kickstart a blues’d out Saturday. With no intention of leaving the house, nor the comforts of my newly changed bedsheets, I find lazing about with some Haruki Murakami and Queen rather inviting. Watching the tip of my lavender scented candle burn as well as the curl of the smoke of which it forms escape out my window, makes me almost envious of its liberation. I’m being driven mad by simplistic formalities, can you believe it? As much as I’d rather get out of the house, a part of me wishes not to. A part of me craves for a cup of espresso (speaking of, I really need to get rid of my coffee addiction) and continue reading Norwegian Wood for the second time. Submerging myself into his profound ideals of love and his estranged poetic language.
I miss you.

Till then, I guess I’m settling for a chilled out Saturday.
